CLE Hours
Financial statements are a critical component of real estate transactions, lending, and client advisement, but for many attorneys, they can feel like little more than a sea of numbers.
This practical program is designed to give real estate attorneys a clear, working understanding of how to read and interpret financial statements with confidence. Participants will learn how to distinguish profit from loss, understand the structure and purpose of key documents such as balance sheets, income statements, and personal financial statements, and identify what qualifies as liquid assets, cash, and real estate holdings.
The program will also explore what makes financial statements “certified,” how to evaluate asset composition and risk, and how lenders and financial institutions assess these materials when making decisions. Whether you’re reviewing client financials, advising on transactions, or interfacing with lenders, this session will provide the foundational knowledge needed to turn numbers into meaningful insight.
